Security Engineer

Our Cybersecurity team is looking for an experienced and innovative security engineer that can help transform customers’ experiences leveraging strong security practices. The person must be forward leaning in security technologies that can make transformative differences to CableLabs members and their customers in the one to eight-year timeframe. Duties and responsibilities

Pre-Sales Engineering Support

  • Engage with customer prospects during the sales process to understand needs and requirements, and then adapt and develop Kyrio security solutions Kyrio can provide to its customers.
  • Provide pre-sales technical support to sales personnel in customer discussions, meetings and presentations.
  • Collaborating in developing customer proposals, RFP responses, presentations and marketing materials by collaboratively developing the majority of the technical content.

Vice President of Finance

  • Reporting.  Continue to develop accounting and reporting systems, policies and procedures to monitor business operations for effective utilization of cash.  Establish an effective system of internal controls and security ensuring adherence across the companies.   Penetrate the financial systems and techniques that provide information essential for managing the business through to the key users within the organization.  Analyze and interpret financial information.  Proactively consult with auditors regarding potential audit issues.   
  • Budgeting and Forecasting.  Manage the rolling forecast/budgeting processes with the leadership team; work with the finance staff to continue to improve upon the forecasting activity to align with the direction of the strategic implementation of the long-range plan (OKRs).  Identify financial performance trends that may require management action.  Conduct periodic review of financial statements and review projections with the company’s leadership team to assure effective use of the available resources.
  • Financial Analytics, Advice and Counsel.  Conduct in-depth financial analysis and assess risk. Provide expert financial advice, coaching, and counseling to leaders and employees. Be a change agent for helping business partners and their teams navigate strategic initiatives.  Assist non-financial managers in understanding and applying financial concepts and techniques. Perform analysis of new lines of business opportunities, line of business portfolio and ROI analysis to make investment recommendations and alternatives for the Kyrio & UpRamp businesses. Lead the finance team through cash flow analysis and optimization to meet current and potential business scenarios. Identify current and future capitalization needs of business units and new business opportunities. With the Human Resource team, manage the companies benefit plan expenses including the 401(k) plan, medical benefit plans and other broad scoping company provided benefits.
  • Tax Strategy & Compliance.  Guide, assess and collaborate with tax advisors and our General Counsel to develop tax strategies to meet current and future needs of both exempt and for-profit businesses. Work with tax advisors and our General Counsel to prepare and manage all federal & state income tax returns and filings.    
  • Risk Management.  Oversee and lead financial risk management assessment by ensuring the company’s assets are protected through proper internal controls as well as protection of financial risk though ensuring adequate coverage of risk mitigation plans.  Partner with IT, legal and the security teams to implement on going security measures. 
  • International Operations. Provide leadership with respect to international operations, optimizing organizational structure, staffing, finance, treasury and tax issues consistent with CableLabs’ business strategy and local/regional laws, rules and regulations.
  • Benefits.  In partnership with Human Resources, evaluate, track and model the financial impact of existing and proposed benefit programs.  Lead, manage and periodically evaluate the CableLabs 401(k) and 457(b) plans, including coordination of the 401(k) Investment Committee.  Coordinate with the company’s investment advisors and other plan professionals.
