Today SunSpec Alliance, the information standards and certification organization for the Distributed Energy Resources (DER) industry announced Kyrio as the official public key infrastructure (PKI) provider for its members who are on the path to get their product SunSpec Certified.
The SunSpec Certified PKI program is designed to enable both interoperability and security of smart inverters, smart PV modules, EV charging, and energy storage. In addition, the program fulfills California Rule 21 Common Smart Inverter Profile compliance and the rollout of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Standard (IEEE Std.) 1547 TM-2018. The news comes on the heels of SunSpec’s recent announcement, where Kyrio was named as a SunSpec Authorized Test Lab (ATLs) for the SunSpec Certified program.
